What's hypnotherapy?
Clinical hypnotherapy is an effective, and increasingly popular form of therapy which is successful in nearly all cases. A variety of tehniques are used in clinical hypnotherapy which have their roots in the principles and theories of psychology, neurolinguistic programming and counselling.
Hypnosis is perfectly safe and natural, in fact we all experience it regularly. It can be compared to the state of mind we are in when engrossed in a good film to the exclusion of everything else, or perhaps sunbathing on a beach and feeling totally relaxed in body but vaguely hearing what’s going on around. Hypnotherapy uses hypnosis to facilitate change.
As you enter the hypnotic state you will become less aware of your surroundings and more aware of your inner feelings. You will automatically focus your attention on the agreed suggestions that are being put to you in order to overcome a particular problem i.e. your attitude towards food, your smoking habit, or your fear of flying, for instance. The suggestions are your conscious desires. You will never do anything that you do not agree with or which goes against your moral code.
Everyone has within them the resources to change and to reach their full potential. Hypnotherapy helps people access and utilise their inner resources held within their subconscious mind without any loss of control.
